Designed for the Soviet-made RPG-7 hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher (Ruchnoy Protivotankovy Granatomet) better known in the West as Rocket Propelled Grenade, the PG-7 grenade (Protivo-tankovaya Granata) was originally intended for use against tanks and armoured vehicles to penetrate the armour of upto 260mm /10inches thick or 1.5 meters /5ft of brick wall with a single shot. The RPG-7 is a shoulder fired single-shot, smoothbore recoilless launcher. PG-7 grenades are loaded from the front, while the rear of the tube / barrel is fitted with Venturi nozzle. Due to its recoilless design, it creates a dangerous back blast zone for over 20 meters / 60ft behind the shooter. Once a grenade reaches safe distance from the shooter (about 10 meters), the built-in rocket booster engine ignites and further accelerates the grenade and increases the effective range of 500+ meters. There were several minor upgrades to the basic design of the RPG-7 in USSR and Russia. The most important was a compact RPG-7D with two-part folding tube / barrel, which was issued to the airborne troops. Since RPG-7 was and still is manufactured in many countries (such as Bulgaria, China, Iraq and Romania), a few modifications have been made in both launcher and grenades. RPG-7 is a simple and inexpensive weapon, yet it represents a “real & present” threat to most modern tanks

INERT 40mm PG-7VR TANDEM rocket-propelled grenade

PG-7VR "Resume" is a tandem-charge RPG HEAT warhead designed to penetrate explosive reactive armour and the conventional armour underneath. Designed in 1988 in the Soviet Union by Bazalt, 7VR grenade deployes a small precursor charge at the tip of the rocket to provide initial impact on reactive armour before the main charge detonates. On 28th August 2003, it was successfully used agaist American M1 Abrams main battle tank in Iraq, penetrating the armour on the left side of the engine compartment. Our INERT projectiles are authentic Russian-made VR rockets and are completely hollow inside - every active combat part of the structure was removed and primer entry was welded. Bulgarian-made OG-7 also known as a Russian-made OG-7V “Oskolok” - “Fragmentation” was originally developed in Russia in 1999 as an anti-personnel (AP) version of RPG-7 round nicknamed – “Karandash” (Pencil) on the battlefield for its pencil-like shape. Our grenades (rockets) are brand new INERT sets with all the training replica internals inside designed for military training (Pls note - this product is NOT military surplus nor stolen goods, but an officially certified item manufactured by arms factory with FFE documentation - hence the price).
