Manufactureed by VOMZ / Russia, PILAD is one of best Russian-made combat collimator "red dot" sights, which utilises a a laser-generated "heads-up display" (HUD) technology to transform a reticule pattern from the rear onto the front screen to provide a precision CQB target acquisition. This system provides an unobstructed field of view with both eyes open. Pilad is designed for engaging fast moving targets and targets appearing for a short period of time in close quarters and urban combat situations in various lighting conditions. The 3 MOA red dot with automatic brightness adjustment goes off automatically when a water-proof rubber cap is put on and switches back on when the cap is removed, thanks to a built-in light sensor. (Pilad 1x30 has three types of reticules and brightness can also be changed manually - 8 levels). At the rear top and right side are the zero adjusting screws, while zero-holding screws are positioned on the back. Red dot size at 50m is 6cm.
