AK-104 vs AK-103
13" vs 16" .. barrel size matters ?
Shooting test was conducted on 15.06.10 Both rifles are straight-pull (single-shot) and have gone through slight zero adjustments in the course of shooting.. In fact we spent one hour practising before having a test shoot-out.. Distance: 100 yards. Target size: A4. Rate of fire: single shot rapid fire with 'one-click' zero adjusments..

Rifle: AK-104 (7.62x39). Price £670

Rifle: AK-103 (7.62x39) Price £730
OPTICS: NO magnification tritium day/night MEPROLIGHT self-illuminated reflex sight (price is not avail) / 40 rounds fired

OPTICS: Russian-made POSP 4X24 telescopic sight (price appx £200) / 30 rounds fired

CONCLUSION: Taking into account the fact that AK-104 was equiped with red-dot type sight (when the actual DOT is just big enough to cover (drop a shadow on) the standard 4" diameter 'black spot' target, AK-104 performed brilliantly.. wait until we test it with 8x42 rifle scope...
