POSP
4X24M / 6X24V / 8x42 - 1000m rangefinding sniping sights
Current
military issue POSP (PSO) series is modified for 2xLR44 (or 1xCR1/3N) 3V batteries. Compact and solidly built, the scope has magnesium alloy body, which is finished in black.
The reticules are illuminated in red, making the contrasting reticule line free of glow, which allows it to be used in dusk conditions. All three models
are nitrogen-filled to prevent lens fogging, waterproof and come with 1000m rangefinding reticules. Since the range calibrations on both AK (7.62x39) and SVD (7.62x54) are measured in equal amounts of MOA, the reticules can be used for both calibers. Based on 12mm higher mount, the 6x24V is intended for use on AK / Saiga / Vepr / Yunker air rifles or any other wepon with siderail mounting system. POSP sights come in waterproof pouch with rubber eyepiece & manuals,
6x24 version includes sun hood, 12 months warranty

All three POSPs have the same minute of angle (MOA), which 10cm at 100 metres (or 1m at 1000m). Rangefinding works by placing the target (1.5m - 1.8m = 5' - 5'11" - average human height or 0.5m - machine-gunner) between the horizontal and the top reclining line with numbers. On the reclining line locate the number closest to the point where the target touches the line and multiple that by 100 and this will give you the distance to the target in metres (1 metre = 1.11 yards). Aiming chevrons designed to adjust for bullet drop of both 7.62x39 and 7.62x54 rounds. Eg: when the upper mark is zeroed for 100m the lower chevrons will compensate for bullet drop at 200m and 300m respectively (POSP 4x24) or when the upper chevron is zeroed at 1000m, the second and third chevrons will aim at 1100 and 1200 metres. With POSP 8x42 the lower chevrons would compensate for bullet drop at 1000, 1100, 1200 & 1300 metres, if the upper mark is zeroed for 900m. More detailed instruction manuals come with each scope |
